Well, C. is definitely a baby no longer, and R. turns one year old in a month!! I'm afraid he's going to start walking soon and I'll have to call him a "toddler" and not a baby! Shocking!

Yes, this is big stuff and scary, but now that we are getting more comfortable with the idea, it really feels like the right thing (hopefully moving to Austin, TX, to be closer to family and have a lower cost of living). I just need to find a job!

Other scary part is that it's easy to paint a rosy picture now, before the big move is made, but are we being realistic about how much better life will be? Or are we just going from the frying pan into the fire? I have got to say that living within driving distance of brother, father, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. could be a very cool thing, especially as we want the boys to know their family like we both did, growing up.

Anyway, I'm drinking wine and getting verbose so I should stop. Oh, but one more thing, C. is playing tonight with the great present you guys got him for his 1st birthday - that little truck. So we were talking about you and M. asked "do you ever hear from her?" and I was happy to say I still do keep in touch, in my way...

Holy! That's a lot of "goings on"! Big M...branching out on his own finally? Whatever it is, "less poor" and "more room" and "closer to family" all sound like real positives! I guess it's just getting through the change to the other side where all the positive lives that can be the challenge. How are the "babies"? Ha! Hardly babies any more! :) xoxo Mia
