Bought a huge box full of 100 calorie snack packs — wheat thins, chips ahoy and oreo thins. Hopefully they will help me satisfy the hunger and cravings that have been sending me downstairs for treats with decidedly more than 100 calories each. I’ve been debating (internally) whether I should go ahead and join Weight Watchers, just to help me monitor my intake. But if I’m monitoring without actually limiting, will it drive me crazy?
Currently, I’m up about 19 lbs at 24 weeks pregnant. That’s pretty bad for someone who started out as heavy as I did. I’ve been boosting exercise from none to some, so hopefully that will help.
UPDATE: BTW, to Nancy in the comments…. I meant joining Weight Watchers Online, because I know they’d never let me join meetings while pregnant. Even online, I’d have to disguise myself, maybe as “nursing” instead of pregnant. Still haven’t really decided if more closely monitoring my intake would suit. One side of me thinks it would help keep me from going hog wild, but the other side wants to indulge — and I SHOULD be eating a bit more and gaining.
Also, they seem to have really raised their prices for online membership. For after the baby is born, I’ve already scouted out a location (and a time) for joining a meeting
